Dear Harry,
                     I wasn't expecting any active, e.g. financial or =
labor help at this stage or even later. I am just one of those listed =
and the one who promotes the listing until it has grown so fast and has =
become so effective that it makes itself superfluous.=20

A declaration that you would be interested in buying one or several =
libertarian CD-ROMs, once they appeared, would be enough to get listed.=20

Better still, you might want to get certain libertarian texts, that you =
like, included. Then you could simply indicate their type and length.=20

Further and other involvement, if and when the listed people are =
interested and have time at their disposal for this, would be up to =
them. They would have to contact and organize each other for this.=20

I agree that even maximum economic liberty would not provide maximum =
satisfactions in all spheres. Man is not only an economic or a political =
being - and his priority values and commitments differ greatly.=20

Neither among the various libertarian nor among the anarchist ideals is =
there a single one that would please all people.

This is one of the reasons why I am primarily a panarchist, i.e., I =
favour for each and everyone the governmental or non-governmental =
society of his or her dreams, practised only among volunteers and and =
their risk and expense only.

Analogy: Although I am an atheist, I do favor religious liberty or =
tolerance for all people, including believers in atheism, rationalism, =
humanism, agnosticism, deism - and, naturally, all formal and express =
religions. Which, naturally, excludes the burning, torturing or =
oppression of dissenters.

Most libertarians and anarchists have not yet considered that option and =
thus have also diminished their chances to achieve the degrees of =
liberty that they want for themselves - as fast and easily as possible, =
not via confrontations but via tolerance, not by impositions but by free =
experiments - free experiments even by and among their opponents, who =
could, to that extent, become their allies: Minority and majority =
autonomy for all.

On that platform almost all the diverse minorities and majorities could =
unite and come to peacefully coexist, whatever their highest values are.

PIOT, John

  John:

Your project sounds quite interesting. Alas I have a very full =
schedule for the next year or so and I can't really offer any help at =
this time.=20

While I'm a libertarian, I think economic liberty and opportunity is =
necessary but not sufficient for human health and happiness. To the =
extent libertarianism has a shortcoming, it is the confusion of the =
means (liberty) with the end (happiness). Liberty means that each of us =
must decide for ourselves what "strong values" we'll have and espouse. =
But for me they include more than just the economic or political ones.

  Regards

  Harry Henderson
