This, my second guestbook, has been closed down, as per today, July 17, 2005.
The reason is the same as with my first guestbook that had to be closed down to prevent further spam. The software used for the second guestbook was much safer and much easier to manage, but still, the amount of spam was so high that I decided not to invest any time anymore into this management. That's how all those morons without morals that are around especially in the United States (and in Russia, where it is a bit more understandable, but also shows the similarity with the presently so statist-socialist United States, both with a market without morals) can destroy such nice aspects of the Web and the Internet. It is unlikely that I will ever reopen a third guestbook, as a guestbook in itself is a bit outdated nowadays. It is rather a thing for a small personal "home page", not for a full-fledged large professional portal site like mine now is. Should I implement in the near future some more advanced content management software for at least a part of one of my websites, I might include a guestbook function again, but then this would only be accessible to registered subscribers. And then I hope that there will be again interesting entries from decent intelligent people, of which there had only been a few in the past. As soon as I find the time for it, I will make accessible an archive of that second closed guestbook, but it will not contain those hundreds of entries that I had not approved.C.B.
