To All

I have lost interest in my web sites. I am considering closing them down completely. In three weeks. Shall I? I let you decide! You can vote and it will be a unique occasion to vote without making yourself a prisoner as a result. A donation of one dollar or one euro (no one will be unable to afford that amount) or more will mean a Yes vote for keeping the sites online, no money will be a No vote to keeping them online. As simple as that.

At a moment when the monthly figure of unique visitors to butterbach.net is at 20,498, when the bandwidth of my web server has just been raised from 7,500 to 20,000 MB, when the Netcraft ranking of butterbach.net is at 33,709 (compare: lewrockwell.com at 5,544; antiwar.com at 33,458; rationalreview.com at 92,559; strike-the-root.com at 191,377; libertyforall.net at 209,974 ~~ to quote just a few well known examples; the smaller the figure the better), when everything looks like further increase and success, I feel that my health doesn't leave me anymore the power and my financial situation the money necessary for that further push forward, that meaningful feedback has dwindled, that spam, malware and other badly intentioned attacks have multiplied, that cooperation with friends and authors has become a daily stress, that expectations of the public what one man (and an old one) alone can do and should do have become too demanding, that authors I would like to have go where the money is, even those that do not need to. We are capitalists, aren't we? Maybe I should have been one too and starting early enough...

Also, I just lost my life: I lost all my data. I was sort of brain amputated.
