10/03/2003 Entry: "An idea is finally starting to spread!"

An idea is finally starting to spread!

Hardly any idea has more potential to bring us freedom, to solve the eternal problems of this world, above all war and exploitation, to help the now so large libertarian movement to get a real grip on the situation by taking into account and "using" the mentality of the sheeple and of those fierce enemies in power which will hardly ever change, or if, not so soon, than this idea of panarchy, this stroke of genius of Paul-Emile De Puydt which he published in 1860.

Only a couple of anarchists like Max Nettlau or Gustav Landauer knew about it and drew the attention to it, but it has widely remained unknown and unconsidered in libertarian circles all over the world. It still is to a large extent, though through the efforts of a few "holy monks" :-) like John Zube or Gian Piero de Bellis, to name only two for the moment, there are nevertheless a whole lot more people now at least knowing about it, especially in academic circles, but some of those may be the kind of people that have reasons to keep this truth to themselves, those who "are careful not to open the hands in which they hold the truth", in an egotist way, as De Puydt put it.

This site is one of the places working to change that.

But the ideas of panarchism and exterritoriality are starting to enter the stage and its limelights. Till very recently you could enter these terms anywhere, in online dictionaries, online encyclopaedias, search engines etc. etc. and mostly find not anything. You could visit websites most likely to know something about this, but zilch, the terms did not show up and they did not appear in link lists. This is still largely the case. But times are a-changing. More and more I discover the terms and the links on websites. Just yesterday for instance. I may some day try to draw up a list for you on this site.

Today I was very glad to learn that this top libertarian site Rational Review gave this site the honour of its "HOT SITE" recommendation. This is sort of a breakthrough. Thanks!

An idea is finally starting to spread...
